The application names the frame material, the opening style and often the glazing bars. A rear extension with a wall of bi-folds says so in the description. A new shopfront is an application of its own.
That gives you two kinds of job from the same register. The first is direct: an application that exists because of windows or doors. The owner knows what they want and needs someone to supply and fit it.
The second comes later. Extensions, loft conversions and outbuilding conversions all end in glazing that has not been ordered yet.
