Planning widgets for your website

Show what's being built near you on your own site. A parish council, a residents' group, a local news site or a community page can paste one of these in and it keeps itself up to date from the council's planning register. No account, no charge.

An example. Pick your own council above. This is the widget itself, live.

The code for Manchester

Paste this into your page where you want the list to appear. Click the code to select all of it. The line underneath credits the source and is part of the widget.

Just your ward or your postcode

A whole council can be a lot of ground. Every ward and postcode district we cover has its own page, and the code for its widget is at the foot of that page. Start from Manchester and choose a ward or a postcode from the lists there.

How long your council takes to decide

A small card with the median decision time, how the council ranks against the rest of the UK, and how many decisions land inside the eight-week target. The code is on each council's page in the decision times study.

For architects, agents and developers: your approval record

If your firm files planning applications, your page on PlanIndex already counts them and works out how many were approved, from the public register. The badge puts that figure on your own website and links to the record behind it. Search for your firm's name, open its page, and the code is at the bottom.

Things people ask

Does it slow my site down? No. It loads after the rest of your page and nothing runs on your site itself.

How current is it? We read the councils' registers every day, so a new application usually shows the day after the council publishes it.

Can I change how it looks? You can set the width and height in the code. If you need something we don't offer, tell us and we'll see what we can do.
