Pick an area
Give a postcode and a radius: a quarter, half or one mile on the free and Watch plans, up to five miles on Trade. On the Pro plan you can watch a whole council instead.

We watch the register
Every day we check the councils we cover for applications inside your area, and for changes to ones already there.

You get one email
A single daily digest, grouped by area, with the reference, address, description and a link to each application. Nothing on a quiet day.
Who uses alerts
Builders, roofers, tree surgeons and the rest of the trades watch the patches they work, so they know about a job before the scaffolding goes up next door. The approval matters most: it's the point a homeowner has committed to spending and often has nobody booked. How it works for trades covers that in full.
Residents watch their own street for anything that might affect the light, the parking or the view, and the free tier covers that case in full. Developers and architects track a whole authority to see what is coming forward and what is getting through.
The paid tiers add more areas, filters by application category, and approval alerts when a decision lands rather than only when an application is submitted. Compare the plans.
What these categories mean
- Householder
- Changes to a home by the people living in it: extensions, lofts, garages.
- Full applications
- A complete application for new building work or a change of use.
- Outline
- Asks whether developing a site is acceptable in principle, with details to follow.
- Reserved matters
- The detailed design that follows an outline permission.
- Heritage and listed buildings
- Work to a listed building or in a conservation area.
- Trees
- Pruning or felling protected trees.
- Advertising
- Signs and adverts.
- Conditions
- Paperwork clearing conditions on a permission already granted; often the last step before work starts.
- Amendments
- A change to an application already decided.
- Prior approval
- Work allowed in principle, where the council checks limited details first.
- Telecoms
- Masts and telecoms cabinets.
- Lawful development
- A certificate confirming existing or proposed work is lawful.
