Milton Close, Henley-on-Thames

T1 - Lime - both Lime trees are located at the bottom of the garden 10m from the house. Each tree sits nearer each corner and approx 2 ft away from the very old back wall that forms the conservation area boundary (beyond the wall). Lime T1 - located at the bottom left of the garden immediately adjacent to the conservation boundary wall and Lime T2, again adjacent to the wall in the right hand corner, both are approx 10m from the house. The conservation boundary wall is very old and majestic and is integral to the character of the area. These fast growing trees are very close to this wall and we have concerns about the damage they may cause e.g. roots disrupting the structure. We propose to fell both Lime trees after an assessment and discussion with an arborist. We agreed that the canopy of the trees is very imposing on the property and garden in terms of blocking the path of light. This makes living in the property less pleasant and requires lights being turned on for longer periods which is costly and a waste of energy. We agreed that these Lime trees appear within the gap between the larger well spaced trees in adjacent gardens and in their absence would allow much needed light into the garden and property without losing the effect of green/foliage that is more than provided for by the remaining plants and trees in the area. Furthermore we propose to replace the two lime trees with two Silver Birch which are more appropriate for the area, as they form a less dense canopy and branch spread and are easier to maintain properly. Also the shadow creates a slippery surface for our three young children. The arborist also advised removal of the ivy on the wall as it is imposing and damaging the wall.

T1 - Sycamore Remove all the ivy over mature Sycamore and crown thin and chip all debris and leve site tidy. Remarks:

1 x Robinia Acacia The tree is partially dead and is dropping small parts of its branches, with spikes on, into our garden. We have 2 young children who spend a lot of time in the garden playing (a 2 year old and a 9 month old). A branch has snapped (although still connected to the tree) and is hanging over into the road behind us. The tree also has fungus growing at the bottom of it which is in reach of our eldest son. The trunk is also starting to lose its outer bark and dropping into the garden. The tree is far too large for a small town garden and blocks the sun in the afternoon to our house and also our neighbours. With the weather being as good as it is we would like the tree removed sooner rather than later as my sons are spending most afternoons in the garden, but I do understand that these types of request can take up to six weeks to get approved. T1 - Turners Oak (Quercus turneri "Spencer Turner") Rot has set in in an area of the main trunk at about 6m height where a branch was blown out about 25 years ago (see attached photos). The rot extends about 3' up above the opening in the trunk towards a major fork. The internal measurement of the cavity measures 45 cm across. The diameter of the tree at this point is about 1m. Action proposed: Dependant in the level of rot the tree specialist finds, he is recommending at lest reduction by 1/3. Remarks:

T1 - Maritime Pine T2-3 - Holly T1 - Maritime Pine. Crown lift to 3 metres and remove one over extended lateral causing lopsided canopy. Lateral limb over shadowing garden and potential failure a concern for this unbalanced protruding limb. Crown clean and remove dead wood/crossing branches. T2-3 - Holly. Trim to be managed as smaller specimens. Tall and beginning to over hang neighbouring property/gutter. Remarks:

T1 - Pyracantha Land at rear of 139 Reading Road, at back of the garden on the corner next to garage (right hand side of garage looking from Marmion Road). 1 x Pyracantha to be felled. Garden is to be replanted and new plants and trees planted. Remarks:

T2 - Silver Birch - reduce by 2 metres and thin by 10%. T3 - Cypress Screen - reduce by 3 metres - trim to shape. T4 - Silver Birches x 4 - thin by 15%. T5 - Hawthorne - reduce by 1.5 metres. Reason - light and space for garden. Remarks:

The trees have caused collapse of wall (and will in future) wall cannot be replaced or repaired with trees present. (Collapse is self evident). Remarks:

T1 - Cedar T2 - Catalpa T1 - Cedar - located at the front of the main house - To shorten long branches by thinning through the crown of the tree reducing weight in upper crown. Crown clean to remove deadwood and snags. Make the tree more compact. T2 - Catalpa - located by barn - remove deadwood cutting back to good branch unions. A reduction of approx 1.5m. Remarks:

T1 - Norwegian Spruce T1 - Norwegian Spruce - fell because it's close to house with the branches hitting it in strong wind and roots beginning to encroach the walls. Remarks:

T1 - Lilac G1 - Conifers x 2, 1 x Sorbus T1 - Lilac - leaning - fell to ground level and poison stump. G1 - Conifers x 2, 1 x Sorbus stem - covered in ivy, fell to ground level. Remarks:

T1 - Sycamore T2 - Leylandii T1 - Sycamore - dismantle to ground level, tree is self seeded and has out grown the space. It offers no amenity value. T2 - Leylandii - fence line prune of overhanging boughs. Contact and agreement has been made with the trees owners. Remarks:

Sydenham Playing Field, opposite Thatchings, Sydenham, OX39 4LJ

T1 - Wild Cherry Tree Remove one tree where currently there are three in close proximity to each other. The proposal is to remove the middle tree in order to allow the remaining two to thrive. In addition, these trees overhang wooden play equipment which in the damp shade of the trees can cause the equipment to become slippery. Removing one of these trees will alleviate this situation. The tree concerned is a Wild Cherry tree. Remarks:

Beech tree in rear garden on the left han side as facing away from the property. Adjacen to the two large poplars, tree is becoming supressed due to large poplars - Toe fell Beech tree to near ground level. Remarks:
