Recommend that the tree is reduced to below the BT lines and reduced off roof and cleared by 0.5m. Reason for works: Tree management. Remarks:

The Retreat, 30 Wellington Street, Thame, Oxon, OX9 3BN

T1 - Copper Beech The tree is situated in a raised area on the south west side of the entrance drive. There is a potentially weak union with included bark where the main stem bifurcates at approximately 2 metres from ground level at the base of the tree. The secondary stems are obscured by Ivy. The canopy has developed primarily to the north and south and overhangs the drive, associated parking area and the adjacent road, this is due to the close proximity of two further Copper Beech to the south east and west that have larger more balanced crowns. There is not really room for three trees that have a spreading crown form in such close proximity to each other. This one is the least developed and causes the most issues with light, detritus and bird droppings as well as being potentially the most structurally unstable. Remove tree to improve light ingress to property and surrounding area, reduce bird droppings, detritus and allow room for remaining tree to develop providing sustainable visual amenity to the surrounding area into the future. Remarks:

Silver Birch growing at approximately 1.5 metres from south east corner of this building, requires removal of side shoots which have encroached on this building. Consulting arborist to ascertain recommended degree of pruning to reduce the canopy of walnut and side branches of silver birch. Some deadwood to be removed also.
