Trees are situated alongside the north bank of the river Thames and to the west of Whitchurch Mill. All work is light trimming to allow access for vehicles or boats. All works listed were discussed with Forestry Officer when he visited on 14.1.15. His suggestions were agreed and sent in a document to his office on 14.1.15. 1. Please refer to map "First River Meadow" No.1. This horse chestnut is the only tree within the CA. Please also see photograph 1. The branch in question overhangs the track and is visible in the photograph. When weighed down by leaves it is very low impeding access to vehicles and farm machinery. The officer suggested that the branch be reduced by three and a half to four metres in length to reduce weight. 2. Please refer to map "First River Meadow" No.2. This horse chestnut has a large branch overhanging the river. The lower branches, when in leaf, are very low and impede access for river users and the boat in photograph 2 to leave and enter the mooring space. The officer suggested reducing both main branches by three to three and a half metres to reduce weight. 3. Please refer to map "Second River Meadow". Both this point and point four refer to the same horse chestnut tree. Photograph 3 shows the low branch overhanging a moored boat, which impedes access for river users and the boat owner to enter and leave his mooring space. The officer suggested a crown lift to four metres above river height by reducing the branch tips. 4. As point 3 - the same horse chestnut has a low branch - please see photograph 4 (foreground) which overhangs the track. Even without leaves, but particularly when in leaf, the branch impedes access to vehicles and farm machinery. The officer suggested that this branch was reduced by three to three and a half metres to reduce weight. 5. Please refer to map "Second River Meadow" and photograph 5. This horse chestnut has a low branch which, when in leaf, hangs very low impeding access for farm vehicles. The officer suggested reducing the branch tips (especially those pointing downwards) by three to three and a half metres to reduce weight.
