It must demonstrate that the identified potential pollutant linkages are effectively broken. The Verification Report shall be in accordance with current guidance and best practice. In particular, this Verification Report must demonstrate that: • The final site layout including areas of hardstandlng, gardens and soft landscaped areas are as specified in the Site Plan Proposed Drawing No. 03A. • The emplacement of capping layers across gardens and landscaped areas is as specified: In garden areas- 1m capping layer comprising a capillary break layer of a minimum of 300mm of granular material; overlain by 700mm of clean subsoil and topsoil and in soft landscaped areas- the emplacement of a 0.5m thick capping layer of glean gravel/ subsoil topsoil. All material used in the capping layers must be demonstrably proven suitable for use. • Gas protection measures have been installed in line with a Characteristic Situation 2 scenario which attain a gas protection score of 3.5 (Table 4, B88485) and shall include two or more of the following measures: • Concrete floor slabs; • A proprietary gas resistant membrane installed across the entire footprint of the buildings; • A passively ventilated under floor void. The verification of the gas protection measures shall follow CIRIA C735 Good Practice on the testing and verification of protection systems for buildings against hazardous ground gases.
