Awaiting decision Three Rivers 26/0903/TPO Trees

Works: Trees

Still open. Anyone can comment while the consultation period runs, and comments go to the council rather than to us.

Proposal

T1 on sketch plan - The tree is in the front garden of Bel-Air close to the boundary with Edgehill. On 26 August 2021 consemt was given by the local authority under reference LCS/21/1681/TPO to reduce the crown in height by 2 metres. This work was never done but consent is now requested due to considerable further growth of the tree. Furthermore the tree is becoming over extended and consent is requested to reduce the lateral spread by 1.5 metres to relieve the overall weight and stop the branches touching both the houses Bel-Air and Edgehill.

Oak T1 The tree is now in very poor condition with over 100% dieback on one side since it was last inspected by Bartlett in September 2022. The owner would like to retain tree if at all possible so am recomending 1) Reduce the height by 50%. 2) Remove all dead branches 3) Reduce live branches by up to 50% to reduce the out of ballance aspect following removal of dead branches. Bartlett Consulting report attached.

TPO760 T50 Mature oak tree has died. We request permission to remove all branches to just leave the main trunk. Over recent years the tree has been progressively later to come into leaf and earlier to lose its' leaves than the adjacent mature oak. This year the tree has not produced any leaves at all. A local tree surgeon, Tom from T's Trees has inspected the tree and does not believe the tree trunk to be hollow. Photo2 shows damage around the trunk, which may be related to the tree's death. This damage was there when the current owners moved in.
