P17/S4939/TCA Decided
Riverside House, Waterstock, Oxford, OX33 1JT
T1 - Crack Willow T2 - Weeping Willow T3 - Sycamore T4 - Ash T5 - Sycamore T1 - Crack Willow - concern over perceived movement, leverage on the annually submerged bank and potentially the obstruction of the river during periods in the winter, the cost of removal from the river after failure during annual flooding/saturation would also be excessive. Fell to near ground level and burn all of the arisings on the island. T2 - Weeping Willow - significant stress rib formation. Reduce to create a pollard effect, removing approximately 4m to decrease leverage and the likelihood of failure into the river and ove the original manor wall. T3 - Sycamore - significant damage over the garden wall and throughout the crown. Crown clean, reducing as required branches which are damaged in excess of 30% of the circumference of the branch and removing those branches which are damaged in excess of 60% of their circumference. T4 - Ash - remove six primary branches and one large secondary branch to provide clearance over the adjacent cherry and garden. T5 - Sycamore - encroaching on the pool area over the garden wall. Crown reduce the section of the canopy which extends towards the garden wall by 2m and reshape, removing no more than 3m from any one branch. Remarks:

T1 - Cherry T2 - Weeping Wilow T3 - Copper Beech T4 - Horse Chestnut T1 - Cherry - on right hand side of drive going towards house - trim crown to reduce weight on split. P17/S5122/TPO Decided
7 Makins Road, Henley-on-Thames
Re Lime tree protected by TPO:- report from Keen Consultants: this Lime is in falling distance of the dwelling and th road junction. Between ground level and circa 2m above ground level the two main stems coalesce. The union between the two stems is tight and includes bark. It is not strongly formed and arboricultural knowledge informs us that these poor unions are highly susceptible to failure. Given its location, and the knowledge of likely failure, we wish to remove the tree Removal of the tree will provide space for the adjoining trees to flourish. The retained trees will continue to be prominent in the streetscene. Amenity provided by trees in this garden will not be materially diminished by the loss of this one defective tree. A replacement tree can be incorporated within the garden in a location where it can develop without compromising existing trees or resulting in a poor relationship with the dwelling. G1 4 Limes (2 Silver Birch - felled and replaced with 1 Swedish Whitebeam) Spec: S15 Fell tree to ground level. Spec: S20 Supply and plant replacemnt tree, in the same location. Tilia cordata 10-12cm (select standard) Reason: R1 Sound arboricultural management Reason: R4 To address potential hazard

Mill Farm, Mill Street, Stanton St John, Oxford, OX33 1HN
G1 - 6 x Plum G2 - 12 x Hawthorn Until about 20 years ago there were no trees here at all. The current owner then planted deciduous hedging plants about 20 years ago. The majority of these hedging plants, which had been maintained as a hedge by the owners, were then removed about 8 years later and replaced with evergreen plants. Whatever was left of the deciduous hedging was then left to bolt and so became the trees, the subject of this application. There are in total about six plum (wild red and yellow types) and twelve hawthorns although at this time of year it is difficult to identify this because the trees are bare, all look alike and they are of varying heights and very interwined. (total approx 18 trees). The work is to cut back the parts of these trees which overhang the boundary into Mill House property. The boundary line runs approximately east/west and so forms a northern boundary of Mill Farm and the southern boundary of Mill House. Remarks: Spec:
