  T1 Leylandii x Cupressocyparis leylandii T1 is growing within close proximity of the boundary wall. also overhanging a swimming pool and driveway of Belton house, also overhanging higher Lincombe road slightly. the growing habits of a leylandii is very fast growing with a shallow root system, leylandii are also known to shed overweighed limbs. when growing in a built up area leylandii require maintenance. I would like to reduce t1 by 50% and shown on pictures. this would be making pruning cuts of up to 25cm on vertical growth. this will remove risk of the tree failing and mean it can be kept for privacy and keep the aesthetics it provides the roadside. T2 Eucalyptus Eucalyptus globulus t2 is growing over the pool of Belton house. this tree is in good heath and the overall size of the tree seems to be fine for its surroundings. there is one very heavily weighted limb as marked in pic 2. this limb has grown towards the light and become heavily weighted. I would like to remove 1 primary limb entirely in order to remove the risk of failing above the swimming pool.

  T1 Ash (Fell, stump to remain) T1 is an Ash tree that, based on its size, was clearly planted after 1967 and therefore does not fall under historic TPO protection. The upper crown of the Ash is directly interfering with the first-order branches of the adjacent Oak, disrupting its natural crown architecture and long-term structural development. Felling is required to prevent ongoing suppression and deformation of the Oaks primary scaffold limbs. The stump must remain in place, as removal would damage the Oak?s structural root plate, which provides essential anchorage and stability. T2 Oak (Repollard) T2 is an Oak that, from its size, was evidently planted after 1967. The crown shows visible decline, with reduced vitality and dieback consistent with stress and age-related retrenchment. Repollarding is recommended to reduce biomechanical loading, slow the decline process, and retain the tree safely within its setting. This approach aligns with BS3998:2010 guidance for managing declining pollards. T3 Oak (Coppice following failure) T3 has already suffered partial failure due to a combination of structural and physiological defects. A large vertical cavity in the lower stem indicates advanced internal decay, and the loss of key structural components has left the remaining sections unstable. Bark and sapwood deterioration, combined with exposed, non-adaptive tissues, show a very low likelihood of recovery. The tree presents a clear risk of further failure, and pruning is not a viable mitigation. Coppicing is advised to reduce risk while allowing regrowth from a stable base. T4 Mimosa (Fell) T4 is a Mimosa that, based on its size, was planted after 1967 and is not visible to the wider public. The tree?s slender form and limited structural robustness make it unsuitable for long-term retention.   Holm Oak. To come down to hedge height as shown in pictures. which is approx a 5 metrre reduction. This is to remove a lot of the weight off the tree and bring it back to a stronger and more balanced shape. With the decay at the base we feel its necessary to give it the best change so it can focus growth closer to the trunk, which in turn will reduce the risk of branch failure. This tree is putting a large amount of pressure on the wall if allowed to continue growing there is a likelihood this would damage the structural integrity of the wall. Overhanging neighbouring property causing concerns for property, fencing and increased shade to their garden. Excessive cavity that has decay within at base of tree as shown in photos. This needs to be monitored. Ultimately we are wanting to preserve the tree with steps in order to help it as much as possible so we don't loose it completely.

  Because of the extreme height of the tree and being situated on a bank at the rear of my garden I am requesting 50% trimming of height after visit from a tree surgeon. It is an Oak tree with 3 large branches off the trunk. The area on the bank has very strong winds and very concerned as it has grown a lot since the 5 years I have been here and seems much higher than neighbouring trees. If it fell would land on my conservatory and probably roof of the house. I am happy for you to come and view it. reduction of 3 branches from main crown to 50% above ground level, to provide sufficient clearance to property.

  T001 - Mature Beech (Fagus sylvatica) Observations: Mature beech with a substantial fungal fruiting body present at the base of the stem, visually consistent with Ganoderma spp. Sounding of the lower stem with a sounding mallet produced a pronounced hollow response extending from the base to approximately 2 m above ground level on the road-facing side, indicating potentially significant internal dysfunction and decay within the lower main stem. The defect is located within the tree?s primary load-bearing region, where the main stem transfers crown loading into the root system. Decay or loss of sound wood in this area is therefore considered structurally significant. The full extent of internal decay and remaining residual wall thickness could not be quantified through ground-based inspection alone. The tree supports a large mature crown and is located immediately adjacent to a public highway, with pedestrians, moving and parked vehicles, and nearby residential properties within the potential failure zone. Recommendation: Dismantle T001 to near ground level. The recommendation is based on the presence of basal fungal decay, the pronounced hollow response extending approximately 2 m up the lower stem, and the location of the defect within the principal load-bearing region of the tree. These findings materially reduce confidence in the tree's long-term structural reliability. Although the tree provides significant local amenity value within the Conservation Area, this is considered outweighed by the extent and structural significance of the identified defects and the potential consequences of whole-tree or basal failure onto the adjacent highway and surrounding targets.

  Recent emergency approved felling of two older Lime trees in next door neighbour's garden precipitated a check on our own Lime Tree sic. Precautionary Work is requested on Trunk 2 of a large mature Lime Tree in south part of our property. Sketch Plan Lime Tree position refers . The Lime tree has 4 Trunks from ground level - numbering from left to right in provided Photo Lime Tree 1 of 4 Trunk 2. Photo Lime Tree 2 of 4 shows vis discoloration separation of Trunk 2 from Trunk 3. Separation >=12cm August 2026. No previous measurement. Photo Lime Tree 3 of 4 shows southern inclination of Trunk 2 and extended southern branch growth giving increasing weight leverage/imbalance. Photo Lime Tree 4 of 4 shows extent of recent years Beefsteak fungus at base of Trunk 2 - width c 25cms August 2026. Condition of Lime Tree discussed on site with Jamie, Trees in Need who has managed bi-annually maintenance on our trees for c 20 years. Fungal infection currently appears to be on Trunk 2 base but Trunk 2 is closely twinned with Trunk 3 at this level. Trunk 3 is however largely vertical and foliage more balanced and therefore less at longer term risk. So Imminent/emergency danger of Trunk 2 failure not likely but following precautionary action suggested Requested permission for following Action for Trunk 2. Remove all top growth c 6/7 meter level as show in Photo Lime Tree 3 where extended South lateral growth is prominent to provide a largely vertical Trunk with reduced weight /leverage . Continue to monitor Trunk 2 & 3 separation and Fungal growth.
