Proposal
T1 - willow - Crown reduction of approximately 1-2 metres (30%), pruning back to previous reduction points, with the aim to reduce the size of tree back to growth position in 2021 when the same arboricultural work was undertaken (ref consent: 21/00862/TREE). T2 - wild fruit tree - Possibly a pear tree. The tree is within the fence line of a grazing paddock and it is proposed to fell the tree as it is very old and a significant portion of tree is now dead.

T2 - crab apple - Reduce crown in height and lateral spread by up to 1.5 metres, pruning back to suitable growth points and retaining a balanced natural crown. Works are proposed to maintain the tree at a size appropriate to its garden setting. The tree has become dominant within the garden and the works are intended to reduce its overall size and improve light levels while retaining the tree. T4 - yew - Reduce crown by up to 3 metres in height and up to 1 metre in lateral spread, retaining a balanced crown and suitable live growth. T5 - holly - Reduce crown in height by up to 3 metres, pruning back to suitable growth points where practicable and retaining a balanced crown. T6 - hawthorn - Reduce crown by up to 1.5 metres in height and up to 0.5 metre in lateral spread, pruning back to suitable growth points where practicable and retaining a balanced crown. Works are proposed as part of the ongoing management of T4-T6 to reduce their overall size and alleviate excessive shading. The applicant has raised concerns regarding cracking to the side of the property in proximity to T4 and T5. No assessment of causation is being submitted as part of this application. The proposed works are primarily intended to manage the size of the trees and reduce excessive shading.
