Proposal
T1 - cherry - Prune canopy adjacent to overhead telephone lines to provide suitable clearance, removing branch growth by up to 0.5 metres. Prune back to suitable growth points where practicable. T2 - crab apple - Reduce crown in height and lateral spread by up to 1.5 metres, pruning back to suitable growth points and retaining a balanced natural crown. Works are proposed to maintain the tree at a size appropriate to its garden setting. T3 - walnut - Reduce crown in height and lateral spread by approximately 1.5 metres, pruning back to suitable growth points where available and retaining a balanced framework. The tree has become dominant within the garden and the works are intended to reduce its overall size and improve light levels while retaining the tree. T4 - yew - Reduce crown by up to 3 metres in height and up to 1 metre in lateral spread, retaining a balanced crown and suitable live growth. Works are proposed as part of the ongoing management of T4-T6 to reduce their overall size and alleviate excessive shading to the property and neighbouring garden. T5 - holly - Reduce crown in height by up to 3 metres, pruning back to suitable growth points where practicable and retaining a balanced crown. Works are proposed as part of the ongoing management of T4-T6 to reduce their overall size and alleviate excessive shading. T6 - hawthorn - Reduce crown by up to 3 metres in height and up to 1 metre in lateral spread, pruning back to suitable growth points where practicable and retaining a balanced crown. Works are proposed as part of the ongoing management of T4-T6 to reduce their overall size and alleviate excessive shading. The applicant has raised concerns regarding cracking to the side of the property in proximity to T4 and T5. No assessment of causation is being submitted as part of this application. The proposed works are primarily intended to manage the size of the trees and reduce excessive shading.
