T10 - Lawson T11 - Lawson Lawson T10 & Lawson T11 - we are very keen to retain the trees, and this proposed work would enable us to maintain them ourselves in the future. Work definition and specification as received from our tree surgeon; The work to be carried out would be to reduce the two Lawson Cypress (T10 & T11) by no more than 30%, and no lower than previous reduction height. I would also recommend severing the ivy at the base on T11 as it would be beneficial for the tree. Remarks:

P17/S5158/TPO Granted
Burcot Park, Burcot
Large Horse Chestnut tree - the tree appears to be in generally good condition with no signs of Bleeding Canker. Given that the tree was inspected during the dormant season the canopy could not be inspected for Leaf Minor or Leaf Blotch. It was noted that several sections of outgrown lateral limbs have recently broken and fallen from the mid canopy. Given that a significant proportion of the west side of the canopy overhangs the adjacent access road further such stem failures have significant implications for the health and safety of traffic using this access way. In order to improve the stability of the canopy sections I recommend that the tree be reduced by approximately 15% of crown volume, reducing the upper more upright sections by approximately 2.5m and the most over-extended laterals by up to 4m, as required to promote a more evenly balanced and rounded canopy outline. All sections of significant deadwood to be removed and central live growth to be lightly thinned by removing rubbing or crossing growth. G1 The group consisting of 9 Beech (1 FELLED) and 3 Horsechestnuts Spec: S1 Reduce crown height by 2.5m, reduce over extended lateral branches by approx 4m Spec: S2 Thin crown by a maximum of 15% retaining an even density of foliage throughout a well-spaced and ba Spec: S3 Remove deadwood. Spec: S5 Remove damaged branches Spec: S19 Please add the following at the end of all the aprroved works: All pruning cuts must be made at bra Reason: R1 Sound arboricultural management Reason: R2 To ensure future compatibility with site, surroundings and usage Reason: R7 Close to building, road or public highway (delete as appropriate)
