Comment: In the four years between lodging the planning application & the approval for this property, a lot has changed, both in terms of demand for tourist residential & conferencing facilities and in the personal circumstances of the applicant, the Covid 19 pandemic having affected both. Our client now finds themselves in a situation where the build of the conference block has stopped and they have instructed us that it will not be delivered as a conference facility. To this end, it is expected that a change of use application will be lodged in the very near future with Lisburn & Castlereagh Planning Department. We would ask that, in light of this information, you consider this statement as a discharge of condition No.10.
