Proposal
T1 Indian Bean tree - Longitudinal split limbs on East side at 3m and 6m, storm damaged limb towards No 15 Veysey Close, some significant deadwood within canopy. Remove all significant deadwood, both split limbs back to branch collars for safety and tidiness T2 Silver Birch - Crown lift to 4m for tidiness and 2 2 Years to facilitate maintenance of grass T3 Gingko - Crown lift to 4m for tidiness and 2 to facilitate maintenance of grass T5 Silver Birch - Crown lift to 4m for tidiness and 2 to facilitate maintenance of grass T8 Zelkova - remove all significant deadwood for safety/tidiness T9 Zelkova - remove all significant deadwood for safety/tidiness T12 Tulip tree - remove all significant deadwood for safety/tidiness T13 and T15 - 2x Leylandii, 2 trees forming one canopy, large amounts of significant deadwood extending from canopy, numerous over extended branches at risk of failure under wind loading, causing negative impact on shape of adj. Sequoia. Both trees have most likely been negatively impacted by historical road repairs as well as ground works associated with adjacent sub station. Trees have shed significant branches onto sub station and pathway in recent years, now look quite unkempt. Reduce height by 6-8m, sides by 3-4m, remove all significant deadwood in order to tidy, make safe, allow more light to adj Sequoia T16 Blue Atlas Cedar - Some deadwood over path, over extended branches at risk of failure under wind or snow loading. Reduce over extended lateral branches to 6m radius from stem/remove deadwood for safety/tidiness T17 Beech - Tree has compression fork at main union, has lost a significant limb into the road since last surveyed in 2018. Now a crack extending down trunk from compression fork suggesting a combination of growth increment and high wind is beginning to push fork apart. Situated in close proximity to access road and residential property. Appears to have declined significantly since last survey in 2022 - request permission to crown reduce upper crown by up to 3m (30%) and remove all failed limbs. Reduce over extended S/W limb(@ 2m) over footpath by 4m to balance and reduce S/E limb (@4m) over footpath with multiple hazard beams by 4m, to balance and reduce the risk of future failure. Prune back of tree to ensure 2m clearance from neighbouring property.

The tree is a Cypress tree located at the front of 11 Devonshire place, to the right hand side when looking at the house. We would like to replace the tree with a native tree species - either a rowan or a cherry - in order to provide flowers for pollinators in the spring/summer and food for birds in the winter. We would like to do the removal in late (~Nov) 2026, well after the bird breeding season, in order to plant the new tree in early 2027 after the last frosts. The tree itself sits at the boundary of a conservation area.

The tree is a silver birch. We would like to carry out "crown reduction" reducing the height of the tree from ~10m to ~7m. Similarly, we would like to reduce the spread of the crown at the rear to reduce the amount of overhang with our rear neighbours. We will keep the left-right spread similar, only carrying out "crown thinning" in this respect to ensure the tree does not block too much light from our neighbours' gardens and our own.
