About conditions applications
How this application type works
This type of application deals with conditions attached to an existing permission, either by supplying the details a condition requires, called discharging it, or by asking to vary or remove one. It does not reopen the principle of the permission itself. Building often cannot lawfully start, or continue past a set stage, until the named conditions are discharged.

T1: Copper beech. Fell. The tree is exhibiting extensive colonisation by Meripilus giganteum, with fungal brackets all over the root plate. There are also juvenile Armillaria mellea brackets in this area and there is significant leaf loss and poor canopy development to the south aspect of the tree. Overall, the tree sits within an exceptionally high target area, and the effects of this pathogen on beech are much researched: it is parasitic, and attributed to white rot in general, but also simultaneous soft rot. It decays structural roots and buttresses, and is attributed to wind throw of trees. Although a high amenity tree, its retention cannot be justified in conjunction with the proximity to the property.
