What happens while it is decided
The process from here
This application is with Camden for determination. The council publicises it, consults neighbours and technical bodies where required, and weighs the responses against local and national planning policy.
The statutory target is eight weeks for most applications and thirteen for major development, though extensions of time are common. Comments carry most weight while the case is undecided, so check the council portal for the deadline if you want to respond.
About full applications applications
How this application type works
A full application seeks permission for a complete, detailed proposal in one go: siting, design, access and landscaping are all fixed at this stage. It is the standard route for new buildings, conversions and changes of use. The statutory target is eight weeks for smaller schemes and thirteen weeks for major development, though complex cases often take longer by agreement.

The proposal is to install under-floor heating throughout the ground floor. There are four types of floors coverings currently in exclusive areas; 1. tiles of heritage quality, 2. original wood boards, 3. painted limecrete floor and 4. modern tiles over concrete. Areas 1, 2 & 3 would have a dry-installed underfloor heating system comprising of insulation, pipes, and screed under tiles. Original tiles would be cleaned and recycled. Extra tiles to cover new tiled areas 2 & 3 would have reclaimed or re-produced tiles matching the existing. Boarded area 3 would be retained as though nothing had changed. The boards will be carefully lifted, marked in sequence, to allow for under-board heating to be installed between the joists without the need to holes for pipes through any existing joists. The void will remain vented using the existing wall vent to the exterior.
