All material used in the capping layers must be demonstrably proven suitable for use. • Gas protection measures have been installed in line with a Characteristic Situation 2 scenario which attain a gas protection score of 3.5 (Table 4, B88485) and shall include two or more of the following measures: • Concrete floor slabs; • A proprietary gas resistant membrane installed across the entire footprint of the buildings; • A passively ventilated under floor void. The verification of the gas protection measures shall follow CIRIA C735 Good Practice on the testing and verification of protection systems for buildings against hazardous ground gases.
