Tree T1 (Beech) - Remove one lower branch extending north over site access back to main stem. Reason: To allow unimpeded access to the property and remove risk of the branch being struck by a high sided vehicle entering the site. Tree T2 (Walnut) - Thin canopy density by no more than 10% removing small diameter secondary branches and crown lift to 5m. Reduce and reshape canopy by reducing length of branches extending toward property (north) only by no more than 2.5m. Reason: Improve light ingress to rooms at front of house. (Amended) Tree T4 (False acacia) - Remove single lowest branch extending east back to main stem. Reason: Improve light access to garden area. Trees T5, T6, T7, T10 and T11 (Sycamore) - Crown lift by removing lower branches to provide headroom clearance of no more than 6.5m from ground level to the height of the lowest retained branch. Reason: Improve light access to garden area.

I wish to apply for work to be carried out on a large Magnolia Grandiflora tree in my garden. I attach a sketch showing its location and photos taken from the road. The tree is now overhanging the road, its lower branches are on top of the neighbour's garage roof and some of the upper branches are very close to a power cable. I have consulted a tree expert who proposed - removal of a lower small branch on the road side - trimming back the lower branches by 2 metres - trim back selected branches higher up to ensure power cable is unimpeded
