Planning application

12 Peninsula Square Winchester Hampshire SO23 8GJ

Granted Winchester 24/01220/TPO Tree Preservation Order

Works: Trees

Permission granted. Work must normally begin within three years of the decision or the permission lapses.

Proposal

Reduce back western side of the crown by approx 1.5m to suitable growth points. This will allow more room for the beech tree below to grow up, as this is starting to fight for the light creating a natural lean towards the buildings. (Amended)

Pollarded mature Syacamore. (see sketch plan). Work is required to side trim overgrown branches up to approximately 2 m to improve stability and ensure continued visual amenity. As the tree has been pollarded cyclical maintenance is considered to be good arboricultural practice. Additionally the work will improve the ventilation of the area and reduce rotting of the wooden decks below.
