T1 Macrocarpa - to reduce tree's canopy to suitable growth points removing 1-2 metres (10%) to create an even canopy. The tree is currently estimated to be approximately 19 metres tall. The proposed works involve a modest crown reduction, removing approximately 1-2 metres from the outer branch extremities where appropriate, pruning back to suitable growth points whilst retaining a balanced and natural crown shape. The proposed finished dimensions following pruning are: Overall height: approximately 17.5 metres, Maximum crown spread: approximately 15 metres. To crown raise tree and lift the lower branches to provide a minimum clearance of 3 metres above ground level, specifically over the driveway and parking area, pruning lower hanging branches that touch roofs of cars preventing the property owners from using their driveway or parking underneath tree when there has been rain.

Hornbeam - Reduce height and circumference. The tree currently stands taller than our house which is, approximately, 13 meters high, the approximate height of the tree stands around 15 to 16 meters. (please see attached photograph). At its widest point (the middle and lower branches) it spans approximately 14 meters. If the requested reduction was granted then the tree would have a final height of approximately 12.5 meters and a final, maximum, span of just under 12 meters. We would therefore request a 40% crown reduction, taking approximately a 16% reduction from the widest and tallest branches with the smaller branches having less of a reduction to ensure the tree holds its shape but moves away from our house and boundary fences.

T1 - Wild Cherry: Fell to ground level Reason: T1 is a mature tree growing to the rear of the property. The trees two trunks lean towards the rear elevation of the property. Fungal fruiting bodies of Laetiporus sulphureus (Chicken of the Woods) are present at the base of the tree. The presence of decay at the base of the tree and the lean of the trunk towards the residential property means that T1 (Cherry) poses an unacceptable risk to property and can no longer be safely retained in this location.
