T1 - Acacia - Crown Reduction - Due to rot pockets located in the main union, I recommend that the whole tree to be reduced by not more than 2.5 meters to keep its amenity value. By reducing the height and spread of the tree by up to 2.5 meters with an approx. FFH of 16m, ensuring that we do not remove more than 30% of the foliage of any given branch and that all cuts are cut back to growth points which are no smaller than a third of the diameter of the pruning cut. The reductions cuts will not be greater than 50mm. The trees are a mix of Beech, Hawthorn, Holly, Norway Maple and oak. We would like to raise the crown to stop damage to the trees from vehicles. The trees are labelled T1-15 on the arboricultural plans over the main carpark and not numbered for the northern end of the site. We are looking at raising the crown for the trees along the road side of the site (east) to no more than 3.5 meters above ground level. We will not be felling any trees. Over the last 10 years we have planted over 100 small samplings and hedgerow saplings around the site and continue to plant more every year.
