We have a Robinia tree in our back garden that is too big for the space, and we are concerned that it will damage the retaining wall and encroach on the house. We would like to remove it and replace it with a tree that will not grow as large, such as a Japanese Dogwood.

The whole site is in a conservation area and is covered by a blanket TPO relating to 1983. It is unclear which trees are covered by the TPO. Rear garden G1- group of Thuja plicata and Picea abies fell to ground level. trees have be come over extended and sparsely foliated, planted to close together and showing signs of prevouse prunning and lower levels resulting in multiple stems. G2- group of Taxus baccata Reduce by 20% - 3m - in height trees have become misshaped and one sided where they have competed with the Thuja Front garden T1- Salix Reduce crown by 25% -3m - The tree has developed a misshaped and weak branch structure with potential of failure. G3- group of 2 Pinus with and understory of Ilex. 30% - 4m - reduction on lateral branches to aid in reshaping and prevent any branch failure over the road.

TPO760 T50 Mature oak tree has died. We request permission to remove all branches to just leave the main trunk. Over recent years the tree has been progressively later to come into leaf and earlier to lose its' leaves than the adjacent mature oak. This year the tree has not produced any leaves at all. A local tree surgeon, Tom from T's Trees has inspected the tree and does not believe the tree trunk to be hollow. Photo2 shows damage around the trunk, which may be related to the tree's death. This damage was there when the current owners moved in.
