A structural engineer (CEng MIStructE) has confirmed that in places the wall's centre of gravity lies outside safe limits and that it is at risk of imminent outward collapse. The wall borders a pedestrian route serving the rear of neighbouring properties (1-5 The Cedars). The proposal seeks to demolish the structurally unsound wall and rebuild it to match the existing in height, alignment, materials and appearance, using appropriate traditional construction methods.
