Works: Trees Small domestic
Read from the description, not a valuation. How we read the register
Permission granted. Work must normally begin within three years of the decision or the permission lapses.
Proposal
Removal of non-native maple tree on rear boundary to neighbouring property (2 Hawthorn Road). It does not have a preservation order. It sits very close to the boundary wall and we have had complaints from neighbours about loss of light and they have had drainage issues caused by tree roots (effluent backing up into their property). It has also brought down communication lines and threatens to do more. HAR/CA21.

Tree: T17 Copper beech, Fagus sylvatica Purpurea Location: [front of property on fence boundary between 57 & 57A Mersey Road, inboard of the brick garden wall, approx 3m from Mersey Road roadway] Proposed works: T17 copper beech carry out a 20% crown thin, removing selected small-diameter secondary and tertiary branches evenly throughout the crown. Undertake minor crown balancing* by selectively pruning any over-extended or disproportionately weighted lateral growth, with cuts made back to suitable branch unions. No topping or lopping. No significant reduction in overall height or spread. Retain the trees natural form and amenity value. Works to be carried out in accordance with BS 3998.:2010 Tree Work Recommendations. * The tree was highlighted on the attached 2016 Tree Report as having a crown imbalance. This imbalance has persisted in the 10 years since, and would now benefit from minor rebalancing work. Reason for works: To reduce crown density and allow improved filtered light and air movement through the canopy while retaining the tree?s natural form and contribution to the conservation area. The proposed 20% crown thin is proportionate, light-touch maintenance and avoids topping, lopping, crown reduction or significant alteration to the trees visual amenity. HAR/CA21, TPO 411W.

Conifer (photo 1 and photo 2) fell because too large and little grows below it in our garden or the next door neighbours garden. They also wish it to be removed. The soil in which the tree is planted is totally dry and exhausted. Replant with one oak tree in the same position and add a hazel hedge at the bottom of the garden. HAR/CA14

Two Beech trees T36 and T37 in the plan. These Trees have been dead for a number of years and now pose a very significant risk to human life including my family and grand children. These dead trees need to be felled or all branches need to be removed. We are unable to replant new trees because these trees are within a few inches next to a brick wall, we can only replace them with normal garden plants. TPO 344W.
