Plan to prune one large and mature Maple tree (Red maple (Acer rubrum) which is over 100 ft (90Yrs Old) but which has low overhanging branches which stretch from our garden into next doors garden (as a large canopy) and which due to ongoing growth become unstable where we have had large branches fall in recent storms both on our side and next door at number 4. So, advice from tree surgeon is of pruning back of some of the lower branches by 2-4 meters or take out those branches which are old or brittle but not to work on any height reduction of the tree at all, in order to keep this in proportion to the width of the trunk and to maintain the look of the maple. The last time this tree was pruned was well over 20 yrs ago, so it is overdue to keep it in good health. We are using the same tree surgeons who have cut this tree before and are experienced in maple care. Secondly to also then prune back an older cherry tree (Wild Cherry cultivar ?Plena?) opposite (approx. 30+ years old and 70-75 ft) which sits close to the fence on the boarder of our garden and the garden of 16 Mersey Rd also has a large canopy, which is now blocking light and which has some dead or diseased lower hanging branches which need pruning back by 2-4 meters or taking out to make safe. Hindle & Brown Tree Care, (Manchester Rd., Stockport, SK4 1NL) have assessed both trees and will carry out the works. HAR/CA14.

    1. Pear Tree - to be removed as tree is diseased and yielding rotting fruit which is attracting large quantities of wasps in summer / autumn months 2. Holly Tree - reduce canopy by up to 30% to maintain tree health, manage height and promote lower growth. 3. Apple Tree - reduce canopy by up to 30% to maintain tree health 4. Apple Tree - tree was damaged in high winds, higher branches had to be removed as they were broken an risked damaging property if falling uncontrolled. Tree appears to be diseased or dead - proposed to reduce back to core trunk (as advised by tree surgeon) to promote growth 5. Apple Tree - reduce canopy by up to 30% to maintain tree health 6. Unknown Tree - Tree is growing at an angle into neighbour's garden. Propose to reduce canopy by up to 30% and take advice from tree surgeon on risk to neighbour's property. HAR/CA14

Copper Beech Tree in back garden. Now too big so needs crown reduction of at least 25% secondary branches only. The tree is severely encroaching on neighbours at 88 Thornhill road. - HAR/CA14

In 2020 we applies dor 3 large Conifers at rear of property, close to back of the house. We cut down 2 and now wish to fell the third (T1). This is close to house, taller than house and restricts light into neighbours and our house. It has caused problems in neighbours drains and restricts growth of a Silver Birch. T2, Conifer is rear of garden and restricts any other plant growth. HAR/CA14.

Rear garden is 29m x 15m with many trees (see diagram). We wish to cut down the Leylandii which is growing up and through the Ash tree. In addition we wish to have a tree surgeon reduce the crown of the Ash by no more than 30%. The Leylandii is referenced tree 1 and the Ash tree 2. The Ash we believe was taken back via a similar crown reduction many years ago, but has grown a lot in this time. In addition the Leylandii has grown much more and as it is less than 2m away is completely overpowering the Ash tree, it is also now taller than the Ash. HAR/CA14
