T1 - Birch T2 - Apple T3 - Lilac T4 - Sorbus The proposal is to remove 4 trees, with trunk diameters over 75mm, from the private garden of a town house in Thame. The Birch (T1) is to be replaced with a 2.5/3m high Amelanchier Lamarch, as it currently overshadows the garden too much. The Apple tree (T2) is to also be replaced with a 2.5/3m high Amelanchier. The Lilac (T3) is to be replaced with a row of 3 x Pleachey Hornbeam to allow for more screening and acoustic buffering from the adjacent pub car park. The overall design proposal is to plant: 3 x Amelanchier, 6 x Pleached Hornbeam and 5 x Malus "evereste". These trees will almost instantly replace any height in vegetation that is lost, as well as retaining privacy on both boundaries of the garden, in a more compact, orderly fashion, in scale with the garden. Remarks:

G1 Sycamore x3 - Pollard tree at 5 metres from ground level. Reasons for Works: The trees are located within the pub's bin store area in close proximity to surrounding structures. During inspection, it was noted that soil has been built up around the base of the stems above the natural root flare, which may be concealing basal decay. In addition, both trees are exhibiting signs of physiological stress, including crown decline and secondary branch dieback. Given their location adjacent to areas of public access and nearby structures, the trees present an elevated risk to people and property. Pollarding is therefore recommended to achieve a significant reduction in crown weight, allowing the trees to be retained while reducing the level of risk to an acceptable level.

T1 - Willow T1 - Willow - reduce crown height by approximately 4m. Evenly reduce lateral spread by approximately 4m around perimeter of the canopy. Clear any dead branches. All pruning cuts to be made at branch junction. Leave sufficient live growth to maintain the crown form. Reason for proposed work is that the size of the tree is encroaching onto boundary wall and garage. Remarks:
