This tree is situated close to the south west arm of the main residential accommodation and is impacting significantly on the light ingress to the residents rooms. Proposal to remove tree and replace with one or a group of trees in adjacent field area (sss) on plan to allow for development in the future of a more significant landscape feature without th need for continued containment pruning.

Permission is sought therefore for the following works which the Council has stated are likely to be consented to: Reduce crown height by approximately 1-1.5m. Evenly reduce lateral spread by approximately 1-1.5m around the perimeter of the canopy. Pruning cuts not to exceed 50mm. Remove deadwood. Prune back to suitable secondary branches to ensure 3m clearance from building. All pruning cuts to be made at branch junctions, leaving sufficient live growth to maintain or enhance crown form.
