Works: Trees
Still open. Anyone can comment while the consultation period runs, and comments go to the council rather than to us.
Proposal
No Species Location Specification 1012 Deodar cedar See plan The long lateral limbs should be reduced by just 1-2m to lessen the end loading and risk of impact with adjacent buildings. The old bracing system can then be replaced with a modern Cobra system allowing some movement. Any large dead wood should be removed and very low limbs lifted to 3m.

T1: Cedar - Reduce in length by approximately 2-3 metres lateral growth to the North and South leaving a retained branch lengthof approximately 8-9 metres. Reduce weight on heavily weighted limbs by thining the crown by approximately 15%-20%. Crown lift to approximately 4 metres all round leaving a clearance of approximately 1-1.5 metres from all buildings. The above works are for saftey reasons to reduce the weight of heviley weighted limbs reducing the risk limb failure in the future as this is in a high footfall area, also to allow suitable clearance from all buildings.
