Following project completion the area will be replanted with a mix of native species to help promote biodiversity within the area and to be in keeping with the historical and cultural setting of the site.

5320 - Acer pseudoplatanus - 3m full crown reduction 14756 - Tillia x europaea - 15m reduction to mitigate forces on decayed base and enable retention for habitat. Reduce S aspect below final high by c. 5m to keep general form. Use coronet and rip cuts to increase habitat value. 22493 - Aesculus hippocastanum - reduce hight by c. 8m to reduce likelihood of further catastrophic failure of the main stem. final hight should br c. 3m above recent failure. reduce extended southern limbs by upto 4m to reduce lever movement on branch junctions. 17096 - Aesculus hippocastanum - 3m full crown reduction to reduce lever arm effects and forces on decayed scaffold structure 53204 - Aesculus hippocastanum - Reduce low phototrophic limbs to W by 3m, reduce lateral spread of remaining canopy by 2m to reduce lever arm effects, lift over workshop by 3m to provide access for scaffolding 60300 - Populus spp. - Monolith tree at 5m and retain for habitat 60396 - Aesculus hippocastanum - 3m full crown reduction to reduce loading on decayed main stem and lessen likelihood of catastrophic failure 60440 - Tilia x europaea - Reduce in height by c. 6m to a final height of c. 9m to mitigate likelihood of major stem failure. G0473 - Tilia x europaea - Fell to ground level as tree has died over the winter and is in an area of extremely high foot fall G0518 - Tilia x europaea - Fell to ground level as tree is in terminal decline and in an area of extremely high foot fall. Replanting Plan - There is no desire to replant replacement trees in the current location or of the removed species due to the visual impact it would have on the historically designed landscape, as well as the poor projected climate suitability of the species at this site. Instead 2 Carpinus betulus of 6-8cm dbh will be planted in a suitable location within the site.

H0167 - Horse Chestnut which had scaffold limb failure December weekend of 6th/7th 2025. Remaining stem has high frequency of woodpecker holes, historic limb failures and cavities to main stem with bacterial staining. I propose creating a monolith at 12m to retain many of these habitat features. As you can see from the picture in leaf taken in May the remaining standing stem is in a poor physiological state. Tree code 151000 - Sycamore on our boundary with a third party property which is now encroaching on the property, has included significant included bark within crown spring and has been pruned poorly in the past which has allowed decay in partially occluded wounds. The stem is also making mature hawthorns become subdominant. I propose to fell the tree to allow mature hawthorns stems of greater biodiversity value to grow on.

Tree to fell/dismantle. Tree Tag: B0046. Horse chestnut stem located at Kingston end of Barge Walk, next to area of boat moorings. The stem has multiple fungus fruiting bodies throughout the basal area, suspected Ganoderma spp. The basal area sounds like it is hollowing to the south west, through use of a sounding mallet. Stem lean and crown bias is toward the boat moorings.

The current height is approx 5.5m and the maximum branch radius 3.5m (bearing in mind the tree is leaning at 45 deg. Other trees in the garden are a Betula Pendula, Olea Europaea (*2) and and Malus Domestica (*2). All in the rear garden.
