T1 – Magnolia Current height: 10m Current crown spread: 8m Raise the crown over the north- to west-facing canopy extending above The Crown pub car park and bin store by removing or pruning suitable secondary growth to achieve a clearance of 4m above the car park and bin storage area. Raise the remainder of the crown to provide a clearance of 3m where it extends over the three neighbouring gardens, retaining the tree's natural form wherever practicable. Reduce the lower south- to east-facing section of the crown by 2m to restore a balanced, natural crown shape, as this area has become elongated and is placing excessive end-weight on the supporting branch. T2 – Purple Plum Current height: 7m Current crown spread: 5m Thin the crown by approximately 20% through the selective removal of internal epicormic growth exhibiting an unnatural growth pattern and contributing to crown congestion. Retain the tree's natural shape, balance and amenity value. T3 – Silver Birch Current height: 10m Current crown spread: 4m Remove the three lowest branches as they are extending too low over the garden, suppressing light to the established understorey planting and limiting the available growing space beneath the canopy. These branches are unsuitable for reduction, as doing so would result in stub cuts, creating poor pruning wounds and compromising the tree's natural form and appearance. Removal of the complete branches represents the most appropriate arboricultural management option.

T1 – Mimosa (Albizia julibrissin) Approximate dimensions: 8m height, 6m lateral spread Proposed works: Crown reduction to address overextension on one section, removing approximately 2.5m of growth from the affected limbs only, retaining overall tree form. Proposed resultant dimensions: 7.5m height, 5m lateral spread. T2 – Magnolia (Magnolia sp.) Approximate dimensions: 8m height, 5m lateral spread Proposed works: Modest crown reduction of 0.5–1m throughout to improve shape and maintain balanced form, retaining the natural character of the tree. T3 – Bay Laurel (Laurus nobilis) Approximate dimensions: 8m height, 5m lateral spread Proposed works: Crown reduction of approximately 2m throughout to reshape the canopy and reintegrate overextended limbs, reducing weight on extended growth and improving overall structure. Proposed resultant dimensions: 6m height, 3m lateral spread.
