H0167 - Horse Chestnut which had scaffold limb failure December weekend of 6th/7th 2025. Remaining stem has high frequency of woodpecker holes, historic limb failures and cavities to main stem with bacterial staining. I propose creating a monolith at 12m to retain many of these habitat features. As you can see from the picture in leaf taken in May the remaining standing stem is in a poor physiological state. Tree code 151000 - Sycamore on our boundary with a third party property which is now encroaching on the property, has included significant included bark within crown spring and has been pruned poorly in the past which has allowed decay in partially occluded wounds. The stem is also making mature hawthorns become subdominant. I propose to fell the tree to allow mature hawthorns stems of greater biodiversity value to grow on.
