T1 1 Beech tree: Clean to remove all dead, diseased, or crossing branches, thin 10% of the live branches throughout the canopy to allow more light and air penetration throughout the canopy/ reduce crown density/ reduce the risk of limb, stem or root failure due to sail effect, reduce the Height and Spread by approx 2.5 - 3m to balance and shape, raise the height of the lower branches to 4.5m in order to provide sunlight penetration to the understory and provide clearance Reasons: Proximity to Property and Structural Concerns: The tree's close proximity to the patio raises concerns for the structural integrity of the building. Its biased lean and protruding buttress roots could potentially threaten the stability of nearby structures. Light Access: The tree significantly blocks natural light, affecting not only the living conditions within my property but also the health of other vegetation in the area. Maintenance and Aesthetics: Regular pruning and maintenance are crucial to control the size of the tree, ensuring its health and aesthetic appeal. This is in line with the objective to preserve the tree for its ecological and visual benefits. Impact on Neighboring Gardens: The tree's extensive canopy and root system are suppressing the growth in neighboring gardens, affecting the biodiversity and enjoyment of these outdoor spaces. Safety Concerns: Given its size and lean, there is a potential risk of branches falling, especially during adverse weather conditions, posing a safety hazard. Biodiversity and Ecological Balance: Pruning the tree will not only benefit the structural and aesthetic aspects but also promote a healthier ecological balance, allowing for increased sunlight and space for other species to thrive.

AMENDED SPECIFICATION SEE CONDITION 2 G1 is a group of three Beech trees that have a communal or co-joined crown. The crowns are biased to the Southeast with the crown being lower to the ground at this point than on the West. The Western stem has bark damage from ground level to 2m with the wound slowly occluding. It has tight secondary scaffolds that are rubbing at approximately 8m. The southern stem has lost a secondary stem to the east of the stem at 1.5m, reactive growth to the northeast is visible and the lip of the pruning point is producing wound wood in an effort to occlude. Decay is localised and penetration is limited in areas around the surface. The Northern stem has tight rubbing stems centrally in the crown at 8, in two visible locations. The lateral secondary and tertiary branches to west have recently failed and appears to be squirrel damage. One of these failures is currently hooked up on the crown over the garden. It is recommended that the crown be reduced by 2m and lifted to 5m to leave a balanced crown of 5m from the centre of the group. The surgery may require less in some areas to be removed and slightly more in others. the important thing is to leave a balance crown. The reason for the work is to prevent further branch failures and to reduce the wind loading that is causing the stems to rub and branches to fail. It is also to counter the decay point in the stem (though this is negligible) overall it is for safety and to prevent further branch failures.

Fell the large Ash tree listed at T2 on the map and cut the stump as close to ground level as possible. This Ash tree is situated on the 2nd tier of the garden over multiple outbuildings and should be classed as high risk. With no option of a Cherry picker or crane getting access to the tree it doesn't have long left before it is unsafe to climb and with no other option of removal would be left to become very unsafe and make the whole of the garden completely unusable for the family. The crown has large dead limbs all around and with only around 303 of foliage compared to a healthy Ash tree I believe removing this tree as soon as possible is of most importance. The garden has multiple Oak, Beech and Cherry trees and the replanting of one of these would be of interest of our client. Crown lift the lower branches of the Cedar listed as T3 on the map. The lower crown is growing heavily over the neighbours garden and branches starting to droop. A light reduction on all lower limbs up to 5m of 1m to help reduce the weight and clean the crown of all dead wood. All work will be BS3998 compliant.

Fell the large Ash tree T1 that is suffering from Ash die back and is situated very close to the property. The owner of the tree has noticed a 50% reduction in crown density over the last 2 years with multiple large limbs dropping with visible cankers and lesions visible from the ground level. The tree is within 8m of the property and leaning heavily toward the property with branches growing toward the property, the home owner is very worried about safety of their family. Two large limbs have snapped and currently resting on other limbs making it unsafe for the children to play in the garden. The property has lots of Oak, Beech and Cherry trees and replanting a young healthy tree would be in the interest of our client. All work will be BS3998 compliant.
