Proposal
The proposal involves the installation of monitoring equipment in an area where the bridge has recently experienced some cracking. This will comprise the use of strain gauges, temperature gauges and cameras. Additionally, a material sample (approximately 150mm X 600mm) will be taken from the bridge for testing of its material properties.

Refurbishment works that include a comprehensive replacement and repair plan for several key structural elements of the bridge. This includes the replacement of all hangars and cross girders. Removing tensioning bars previously installed to strengthen hangars. Localised repairs to the steel troughing and cross bracing, with replacement of elements on a like-for-like basis where required. All existing paint to steelwork will be removed, and all steel elements are to be repainted to match the existing colour and finish.
