There would be no evening or late-night use, and activity would be limited to drop-off and pick-up at the start and end of sessions. There are no existing on-site vehicle parking or cycle parking spaces associated with the building. The proposal does not include the provision of on-site parking or cycle spaces. Refurbishment works that include a comprehensive replacement and repair plan for several key structural elements of the bridge. This includes the replacement of all hangars and cross girders. Removing tensioning bars previously installed to strengthen hangars. Localised repairs to the steel troughing and cross bracing, with replacement of elements on a like-for-like basis where required. All existing paint to steelwork will be removed, and all steel elements are to be repainted to match the existing colour and finish. Proposed works also include resurfacing the existing carriageway and footways.
