Planning application

Land South Of Nant Y Mynydd Llanhennock Top Road Llanhennock Monmouthshire

Granted Monmouthshire DM/2026/00243 Agric Notification

Permission granted. Work must normally begin within five years of the decision or the permission lapses.

Proposal

A length of agricultural track will strategically link the access point to the adjacent field where cattle to be transported, protecting the pastureland whilst ensuring safe access for plant. The track will be approximately 3.5 metres wide and will be surfaced with permeable crushed stone. The total length of track will be approximately 175 meters. The design will follow the existing contours of the land and run along the field boundary preserving as much pastureland as possible. This improvement is critical for enhancing access for plant and livestock handling equipment, while simultaneously mitigating surface erosion and preventing ground damage.

Proposing putting a farm gateway and short track from the passing place up to the existing track that is already there out the back of the farmyard. The farm track would be in the field directly next to the main farm yard and single track road that heads out of Llanvair Discoed village back to the A48. The passing place is already there and the gateway would be at the edge of this going directly out onto the existing road.
