Refurbishment works that include a comprehensive replacement and repair plan for several key structural elements of the bridge. This includes the replacement of all hangars and cross girders. Removing tensioning bars previously installed to strengthen hangars. Localised repairs to the steel troughing and cross bracing, with replacement of elements on a like-for-like basis where required. All existing paint to steelwork will be removed, and all steel elements are to be repainted to match the existing colour and finish. Proposed works also include resurfacing the existing carriageway and footways. A revised footway arrangement is proposed, including widening to approximately 1.94m while maintaining the current carriageway width, removal of temporary barriers, installation of new trief kerbs, and improvements to drainage, together with associated service diversions.
