Proposal
(1) Works proposed to T1 Ash tree Fraxinus excelsior, approximate height 18mt in the rear garden of Flat B, 23 Telford Avenue SW2 Illustration A: March 2026 Tree T1, 1: T1 Crown lifting, removing two large, lower branches (see branches marked in Red) of T1 on the west/ north west side of the tree which overhang the rear gardens of Flat 1, 25 Telford Avenue and 18 Kirkstall Road. Repeat maintenance restoring to previous 2014 pollard points for these large branches. 2: Remove or cut back small, low-hanging branches/long twigs,on the west and south-west side of tree T1 to 4m above ground level (repeat maintenance re work conducted in 2014) so no longer overhanging the back gardens of 25 Telford Avenue and 18 and 16 Kirkstall Road and restoring light. 3: T1 Crown reduction - Reduce height by approximately 2m and radius by 2.5-3m on northern, western and south-western compass points of T1 while maintaining the tree?s natural shape ? repeat of work approved in 2014 but excluding the south and east compass points of the tree . Reason : Remove large low, overhanging branches, restore light in back gardens of 25 Telford Avenue, 18 and 16 Kirkstall Road, reduce seasonal dead wood fall. T2 : Holm Oak Quercus ilex sapling approximately 7m height in back garden Flat 1, 25 Telford Avenue Reduce crown height to four metres. Reason : Improve light in rear gardens of 18 and 20 Kirkstall Road and maintain appropriate tree size in an urban garden setting. T3 : Holly tree Ilex Aquifolium approximately 12m in back garden Flat 1, 25 Telford Avenue Reduce crown height of T3 by approximately 4m Reason : encourage shaping of lower branches, reduce shade in rear gardens of 18 and 20 Kirkstall Road G1 Hawthorn and G2 Stella Cherry in back garden of 25 Telford Avenue - no works planned T2 and T3 are in the Applicant's rear garden of 25 Telford Avenue, T1 in the garden of 23B T
