Proposal

Lancashire CC TPO No 6 1953 - 26-01, 26-02 and 26-03 - Three cherry laurel (Prunus laurocerasus) - growing as understorey shrubs immediately behind the gate (shown on the attached photographs "laurel 1–3" and "gate 1", and on the sketch map). Cut back the lateral branches overhanging the footpath by up to approximately 2-3 metres, sufficient to clear the line of the path and restore safe passage. Cuts to be made cleanly back to a suitable growth point or branch junction. No reduction of the main stems, and no felling, uprooting or removal of the laurels

    Lancashire CC TPO No 6 1953 - Tree No. 135 — a single over - mature sycamore (Acer pseudoplatanus), standing approximately 1.5 m from the path, shown as "135" on the submitted location plan and in the BHA Trees Ltd survey excerpt. Remove all deadwood and all dead or dying limbs that overtop the main stem above approximately 10 m, cutting back to the main stem at suitable natural break points. Retain the main stem standing as a monolith (the tree is not to be felled). Retain the live growth on the side of the tree away from the path where it can safely be kept
