Planning application

Oak Cliff Place Woodside Road Wootton Ryde Isle Of Wight PO33 4JR

Awaiting decision Isle of Wight 26/01485/TW

Works: Trees

Still open. Anyone can comment while the consultation period runs, and comments go to the council rather than to us.

Proposal

A1; Fell trees listed on attached location plan. Coppice understory shrubs, including all hazel, to promote new growth. Reason: Area neglected and unmanaged causing trees to become etiolated due to crowding. Ash trees are deteriorating due to Ash Dieback disease. Remaining trees will be exposed to new wind loading and will be unviable due to their etiolated forms. Many of the trees have significant defeats compromising their structural integrity. A2; Fell all ash trees listed on attached location plan and coppice understory shrubs, including all hazel, to promote new growth. T17 and T23; Ash - Fell. Reason: Area neglected and unmanaged. Many of the ash trees have Ash Dieback disease. Removal of the ash trees proactively now will reduce disturbance in the future.

T2; Oak - Remove to ground level. Reason: Shown signs of decline in the crown, has a large cavity at the base of the tree. Close to the property. T4; Ash - Remove to ground level. Reason: Located at the rear of property and shown signs of dieback for the last few years according to my client. Tree is positioned between Kipper cottage, power lines and the neighbouring property which it appears to be leaning towards predominantly. The neighbouring property is right below the tree and also has an oil tank below to supply their home.
