Proposal
Non-material amendment to planning permission reference: 2015/02638/FUL granted 12th June 2015 for the "Demolition of existing first floor level comprising of offices (Class B1) and the erection of a replacement part one, part two, part three storey extension at first, second and third floor level, in connection with the creation of office space (Class B1) at first floor level; and 4no self-contained residential flats (Class C3) comprising of 1 x one bedroom, 2 x two bedroom and 1 x three bedroom flats at second and third floor levels; formation of roof terraces at second and third floor levels; alterations to Britannia Road elevation at ground floor level to include installation of new doors to replace the existing doors; installation of 10 air source heat pumps and 8 solar panels over the main flat roof at roof level." Amendments sought to include the reconfiguration of the consented rear balconies facing Britannia Way at second and third floor levels to be retained at 12sqm; the extension of the consented frameless glass balustrade to contain the full extent of the roof terrace to prevent falling during maintenance and to allow a better visual aspect for the occupiers (they will not be looking at an ugly man safe system but at an attractive roof); and the internal reconfiguration of the plan of the third floor apartment.

About amendment applications
An amendment application makes limited changes to a permission that already exists; anything beyond modest adjustment needs a fresh application. More in our guide to planning application types.
