Proposal
T1 - Ash Suggested Works: reduce height by 2-3 metres, Maximum Diameter of Cuts (MDC) 50mm. Reduce western aspect by 3 metres, MDC 75mm. Reduce northeastern and southwestern aspects by 2 metres, 50mm Crown lift above shed. Remove major hazardous deadwood. T2 - Lime Suggested Works: Reduce height and southern lateral spread by 2 metres, MDC 50mm. Prune remaining to reshape, tidy and contain. Rationale: The Ash tree is twin stemmed, the structural integrity of its basal union is in doubt. These works are necessary to reduce loading and reduce the risk posed by this tree to an acceptable level. Reduction works to the Lime are proposed as part of the reasonable maintenance of this vigorous tree.

I wish to fell and completely remove a Bramley apple tree. The tree is 20-25cm diameter at 1.5 m high. It was planted, I believe, in the 1930s, alongside the property boundary wall. It is in poor health and no longer produces good fruit (so a replacement tree was planted a few years ago, which has now reached maturity). An arborist has advised that it was a mistake to plant such a tree on a wall in the first place.

The tree is a Cypress tree located at the front of 11 Devonshire place, to the right hand side when looking at the house. We would like to replace the tree with a native tree species - either a rowan or a cherry - in order to provide flowers for pollinators in the spring/summer and food for birds in the winter. We would like to do the removal in late (~Nov) 2026, well after the bird breeding season, in order to plant the new tree in early 2027 after the last frosts. The tree itself sits at the boundary of a conservation area.

The tree is a silver birch. We would like to carry out "crown reduction" reducing the height of the tree from ~10m to ~7m. Similarly, we would like to reduce the spread of the crown at the rear to reduce the amount of overhang with our rear neighbours. We will keep the left-right spread similar, only carrying out "crown thinning" in this respect to ensure the tree does not block too much light from our neighbours' gardens and our own.
