Ash. pollard to 10feet. There is significant basal rot caused by a fungal infection. As can be seen from the photo there are lesions with sap oozing from them . The photo provided was taken in early October when other trees still had full leaf coverage . In my opinion pollarding will give the tree a chance to carry on for a few more years with a considerably reduced risk of failure and damage the adjacent property (it is leaning over the fence towards Altamira Lodge )

T1 Poplar , fell to ground level . Recent winds have made it lean towards neighbour`s house, with a raised root mound clearly visible at the base where it has lifted. In my opinion the risk of failure is very likely and would benefit from a speedy decision so it can be dealt with as soon as is practicable. The tree's amenity value is low as it is adjacent to a stand of much larger Poplars of which it is an offspring

Please see Plan attached. This plan was submitted with a similar application on 7 October 2020. T 1 was felled in 2020. T2 and T3 were pollarded. T2 and T3 require pollarding again because of their proximity to the house. See detail on plan.) T3 is already touching the house and over the roof.

The tree is a Cypress tree located at the front of 11 Devonshire place, to the right hand side when looking at the house. We would like to replace the tree with a native tree species - either a rowan or a cherry - in order to provide flowers for pollinators in the spring/summer and food for birds in the winter. We would like to do the removal in late (~Nov) 2026, well after the bird breeding season, in order to plant the new tree in early 2027 after the last frosts. The tree itself sits at the boundary of a conservation area.

The tree is a silver birch. We would like to carry out "crown reduction" reducing the height of the tree from ~10m to ~7m. Similarly, we would like to reduce the spread of the crown at the rear to reduce the amount of overhang with our rear neighbours. We will keep the left-right spread similar, only carrying out "crown thinning" in this respect to ensure the tree does not block too much light from our neighbours' gardens and our own.

Mixture of bay and cherry large shrubs to remove, which have become overgrown in the contained area next to the electricity sub station. We have removed what we can so far, but need approval to remove the rest, as they are around 5 inches at waist height. Plan to remove fully as no remedial value where they are located.
