Awaiting decision Eastleigh T/26/102138 Consent under Tree Preservation Orders

Works: Trees

Still open. Anyone can comment while the consultation period runs, and comments go to the council rather than to us.

Proposal

2no. Oak (T1&2) - Crown reduction of approx. 2–2.5m to both trees, pruning back to suitable growth points and retaining a balanced crown structure. Trees showing signs of decline, including dead branch tips and reduced vitality. Works will reduce excessive end weight and loading on remaining limbs, whilst encouraging development of new growth and maintaining trees in a safe and manageable condition. Work will be proportionate to condition of trees and will retain overall form and amenity value.

1no. Corylus (Hazel),1no. Crataegus (Hawthorn) & 1no. Oak - To prune back approx. 2-3m back from fence. To provide and maintain a 1m clearance from the fence line surrounding the site compound. The trees are currently overhanging into the compound area, and the works are required to ensure safe access, facilitate operational activities, and address health and safety considerations within the site.

    30 RANDALL ROAD, CHANDLER'S FORD, EASTLEIGH, SO53 5AL

1no. Silver Birch (T1) - Fell to ground level due to poor physiological state of the tree which has been occurring over the last four years. There is no reasonable reduction of the crown possible that would prolong the life of the tree as tree is unlikely to respond well to pruning. Replant with another Birch.

1no. Oak (T1, originating from no. 24 Thornbury Wood, SO53 5DQ) - Reduce lateral limbs extending over garden and towards property by approx. 2.5m to even up the tree and provide a natural and balanced shape. Majority of branches are to the Southeast side of tree. Pruning will be carried out back to natural growth points to improve light levels within garden and minimise overhang towards house, while preserving the tree's overall form and health.
