Planning application

8 LAKE ROAD, CHANDLER'S FORD, EASTLEIGH, SO53 1EZ

Granted Eastleigh T/24/98613 Consent under Tree Preservation Orders

Works: Trees

Permission granted. Work must normally begin within three years of the decision or the permission lapses.

Proposal

1no. Beech (T1) - Reduce by approximately 2-3m in height & spread to ensure its continued health, manageability & safety. Carefully pruning the tree to suitable growth points, while maintaining the tree's natural shape & integrity. This tree has recently suffered a large failure. This reduction is essential to reduce wind resistance (sail effect), reducing the risk of limb failure or damage in future storms.

1no. Silver Birch (T1) - Fell to ground level due to poor physiological state of the tree which has been occurring over the last four years. There is no reasonable reduction of the crown possible that would prolong the life of the tree as tree is unlikely to respond well to pruning. Replant with another Birch.
