The existing tiles had become friable and easily broke on handling. Condition 8 - Approval mechanism for new roof and ridge tiles; Discharged on 11.08.23. The project used new hand-made Sahtas Brown clay tiles plus ridge tiles all bedded with a 3-1 lime mortar mix. Ridge and valley detailed maintained existing undulations.
