Works: Trees
Permission granted. Work must normally begin within three years of the decision or the permission lapses.
Proposal
Single oak tree in middle of back garden, currently around 10m tall and 5m wide, will have a crown reduction carried out to all the branches/height to maintain a balanced but smaller shape. We get this done every two years, the reduction will be back to the previous height/width, circa 8m tall and 4m wide. It is currently overhanging 34 Princes Road significantly. Tree surgeons have been contacted and will be selected, either Sussex Tree Care or Southern Tree Works. Both forsee no issues and could see previous reduction/coppicing points back to which we'd like it cut. Midterrace house so cuttings will be taken through the house and chipped and removed.

T1 Sycamore- remove 3 epicormic stems at the base of the tree (approx diameter 10 cms each) Reduce central top height of the tree by 2 meters and reshape the crown all around. Reasons- the tree has not been worked on for some time and it is cutting out light at the back of the property and for other properties in the vicinity. It is a very tall tree for the confined space that it is in.
