Planning application

22B THE ELMS, WARFIELD PARK, BRACKNELL, RG42 3RP

Awaiting decision Bracknell Forest PA/2026/0705 Consent under Tree Preservation Orders

Works: Trees

Still open. Anyone can comment while the consultation period runs, and comments go to the council rather than to us.

Proposal

T1 - Turkey Oak • Reduce lateral spread of northwest quadrant of tree canopy by 1.5- 2m (from 5.5m to 3.5-4m) over garden to reduce overhang of low branches into garden of 22B The Elms. • Remove deadwood from tree canopy. Reason: Minor works to cut back overhang over the garden to ensure a safe play area for disabled resident child. This is minor work to a small tree growing at the rear of the property. The works will not be visible from a public viewpoint, and the amenity of the wider woodland area will not be undermined. T2 - Turkey Oak • Reduce regrowth / tips of cut side stem by 3-3-5m back to previous reduction points • Reduce lower branches by 1.5-2m back to boundary line. Reason: Poor form. Works are requested to reduce risk of branch failure of regrowth from previously cut branch and to raise the crown to create reasonable clearance over sheds and outbuildings.

    1 SEYMOUR DRIVE, ASCOT, SL5 8FX

T1 - Norway Maple - Reduce canopy height and lateral spread 3-4m back towards previous reduction points. Cuts will be made back to suitable growth points from which point the tree can be maintained in a reduced pollarded form. Reason: T1 (Norway Maple) is a suppressed tree of poor form and with a stem defect. The overhanging canopy of T1 has a significant impact on the garden of 1 Seymour Drive and breaking branches cause a nuisance to residents. Works are recommended to reduce the canopy to alleviate the nuisance to residents from which point the tree can be managed in a reduced pollarded form. As the tree has no wider visual amenity value from a public viewpoint, the quality and canopy cover of trees within the Brackens Estate and wider Woodland Tree Preservation Order will not be undermined.
