Application for a Lawful Development Certificate for confirmation that the works specified within the appending letter are considered to constitute a material start of application ref-AVA/2016/0274, and that the approved development therefore remains extant.

  • TRE/2022/0169 Granted

Pingle House Pingle Lane Belper Derbyshire DE56 1DW

Proposal of two sycamore trees to be reduced on the north side by 3-4 meters Reason for works: The applicant is concerned that the heavy exposed lateral limbs of both T1&T2 may fail and fall onto the narrow strip of garden space to which young children use to play. overall the trees are in good health and show no signs of disease, die-back, large cavities or weak unions. However i feel that as the trees are very mature and situated in a residential area, a sensible reduction to growth points would ensure safety and visual aesthetics.

Trees to the north of the property, south side of the river bank. G1: Trim back trees along the laterally wall to maintain clearance for vehicles. Trimming back to wall and approximately 3m high. G1.1: Trees in this section are forming more of a hedge structure. Reduce in height to approximately 5m in this smaller section to prevent hedge from growing too tall. T1: Alder. Re-pollard to previous pollard points due to the re-growth becoming very long and spindly, and also growing northeast toward neighboring properties.
