T1, T2, T3 are 3 Cupressus x leylandii planted close together. We are proposing removing the trees completely. They are at risk of swamping an attractive maple (T7) as well as other nearby large shrubs such as a rhododendron and are a nuisance to our neighbour at number 11. T4 is a relatively small leylandii right against the garage which we propose removing completely. There are other attractive plants such as a mature cotoneaster underplanted. T5 Is a very large Leyandii that has previously been reduced to prevent it overhanging the public path. We would like to remove this tree completely. Our neighbour at number 10 is very keen to see this tree removed. T6 is a Lawson's cyprus, also grown far too tall for the location adjacent to the house. We would like to remove it completely. There are many trees and shrubs that will remain, and we are committed to maintaining a varied habitat for the birds and other wildlife. Trees remaining on the property include T7 is a large variegated maple (Acer Platanoides) T8 is a deodar cedar T9 and T10 are mature apple trees 'discovery' T11 is a weeping silver birch T12 is a large magnolia Adjacent to the property T 13, 14, 15 and 16 are mature trees that, we understand, recently had permission to reduce their height by 30%. T17 is a large apple tree 'golden delicious' The garden is well planted with a wide variety mature shrubs which will be preserved. We recently purchased this house, and it had been empty for 3 years, and we understand that the elderly couple who owned the house prior to that had been unable to look after the garden for a good few years. These "trees" are really hedging or ornamental shrubs that have outgrown their locations. Our neighbours, at Somerville House and those at numbers 11 and 8 Marton Close, are supportive of our plans to remove these overgrown conifers.
